A new Inverness barbershop has officially opened its doors.

Based in Castle Street, Dakota Barbering Collective is the brainchild of Kyle Clark Mackenzie (38).

Having worked as a barber for the past 18 years he is looking forward to having his own space. For him, this dream could not have been realised if not for the support of his clients and colleagues.

To celebrate the opening of his salon Kyle will be giving away specially made donuts from local bakery Perk to all his customers for the first month.

Speaking about the opening, he said: ā€œI thought as a thank you to everyone, I would give them a wee treat for their first visit!

ā€œIā€™m really looking forward to this new venture and I just want to say a massive thanks to everyone who has helped me get here - especially my wife!ā€

Kyle also has two chairs in his shop to rent out to other barbers.
