An evening of sheer indulgence added to the fundraising efforts of one Strictly Inverness contestant in Kirkhill.

Claire MacDonald, a midwife sonographer, hosted the His and Hers Evening Delight event at Kirkhill Community Centre, mixing drams, prosecco and delicious sweet treats.

“Donations of puddings/desserts came from friends, Harry Gow and Raigmore Hospital catering department which provided an array of delights,” said Claire (45) who is competing in the annual dance contest in aid of Highland Hospice and the Inverness Ice Centre along with dance partner Craig Watson.

“Thanks to the Kirkhill residents who have supported these events,” she continued.

“Thanks to my son Dylan MacDonald and his girlfriend Annie Gault who also volunteered on the night.“

There was also thanks for Aberfeldy Distillery, which donated whisky, along with the Co-op, Tesco and ScotMid for prosecco donations.

“Craig Watson, my dance partner, won the main raffle prize on the night,” Claire said.

“I then promptly, on Craig’s behalf, said that we would redraw to allow another attendee an opportunity to win it.

“Craig had little choice but was a good sport about it!”

The event raised £600 just ahead of this year’s Strictly Inverness finals which take place this week.
