Police were suspicious of a 44 year old Inverness man walking through a city housing estate and stopped to question him.

Inverness Sheriff Court heard that officers decided to search Gary Fraser, described as an Inverness prisoner, at 8.57pm on the night of December 10, 2022 and found a kitchen knife in his pocket during the search in the city’s Glendoe Terrace.

Fiscal depute Emily Hood told Sheriff Sara Matheson that Fraser did not have a reasonable excuse for having it and was charged and arrested by police.
