When will Inverness Caledonian Thistle play in the Championship play-offs?
Inverness Caledonian Thistle will have to get through four games if they want to stay in the Championship next season.
A 3-1 win over Greenock Morton last night wasn’t enough to get out of the relegation play-off zone as Queen’s Park defeated Airdrie 2-0 to finish in eighth place.
Despite having the highest number of points for a team in ninth place since 2008, and a goal difference of +1, with the second best defensive record in the league, Inverness will play in the Championship play-offs to fight to keep their place in the Championship.
Inverness Caledonian Thistle will face Montrose in the Championship play-off semi finals, with the first leg set to take place at Links Park on Tuesday night at 7.45pm.
The second leg will take place at the Caledonian Stadium on Saturday, May 11 at 3pm.
The loser will be guaranteed to spend next season in League One, with the winner progressing to a two-legged play-off final against either Hamilton Academical or Alloa Athletic.
The lowest positioned team will host the final first leg on Wednesday, May 15 with kick-off at 8.05pm.
The second leg will take place on Saturday, May 18 at 5.30pm. Both first and second legs of the final will be broadcast on BBC Alba.
The winner of the final will play in the Championship next season while the loser will be in League One.
