Break-in near Castle Heather Park in Inverness sparks police appeal

Detectives in Inverness are seeking information after a break-in occurred on Friday, March 1 at Johnston Place in Inverness.

Police confirmed that the address was broken into via the front door between 8pm and 9.30pm yesterday.

A quantity of cash, mobile phone and other belongings were stolen before the people responsible exited via the same door.

Detective Constables at Inverness said: "Our initial enquiries have revealed that people have forced entry through the front door of the premises, before opening the door and stealing various belongings from within.

"We are continuing to carry out enquiries, gather and study CCTV from in and around the local area to assist us in establishing more information on this crime."

The incidents are being treated as linked and anyone with any information which could help the investigation is encouraged to get in touch.

A police spokesperson said: "If you were in the area between the times stated and saw or heard anything suspicious or have any information that may assist our investigation, please contact 101 with reference number 3902 of Friday, March 1, 2024.

"Alternatively, Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111 with complete anonymity."
