A popular doughnut brand could soon be opening its first Inverness point.

Krispy Kreme are advertising for a new full-time position as retail store manager for "a brand new Krispy Kreme store in the centre of Inverness".

Although some supermarkets in the Highland capital are storing a selection of the tasty treats, the closest outlets being located in Aberdeen.

This would be the first outlet in the Highland capital and the region.

It is believed that a new counter will open at Tesco Extra at Inshes Retail Park next week, and potentially a new retail point at Asda on Ivanhoe Avenue where it is understood "coming soon" signs have been installed.

Krispy Kreme have been contacted for comment.
