A unique new activity bar with axe-throwing fun for customers is set to open on Friday (April 26).

Playback, based in Academy Street, is a concept dreamed up by businessmen Taran Campbell and David Montgomery.

As well as three separate bars, self-service beer taps and an array of entertaining pursuits inside, it will feature two open roof-top terraces for diners and drinkers.

The venue breathes new life into the large premises on Academy Street and an adjoining building on Queensgate, giving a welcome boost to the city economy.

Posting on social media, Playback said: “After two long years in the making, we couldn’t be more excited (and relieved!) to announce that we’re finally opening to the public this Friday at 12pm.”
