Community-spirited volunteers were out and about in Dores to help tackle litter earlier this week.

A number of locals got together on Thursday for the Dores Community Litter Pick.

Armed with litter pickers and bags they set about cleaning up the community's litter ahead of the tourist season.

The event focussed mostly on the stretch of Dores Beach which had recently been cleared in attempt to stop visitors setting camp fires. That earlier clearance effort unearthed a lot of litter, which the volunteers were on hand this week to spirit away.

The event was organised and supported by Dores and Essich Community Council, Highland Council. Highlife Highland and the Aldourie Estate.
