Inverness supermarket raiders carrying bag for life and Adidas holdall steal alcohol and cash from Co-op store in Highland capital’s Telford Street

A night-time raid on an Inverness supermarket which saw thieves steal alcohol and cash is being investigated by police.

Officers in the Highland capital have appealed for information following the break-in at the Co-op store in Telford Street in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

The break-in occurred between 3.45am and 4am and police are now hunting two suspects.

The two, both men, were also both approximately 6ft and of average build, were wearing dark face coverings, dark clothing and footwear. They were carrying a black Adidas holdall and a blue bag for life.

DC Gary Hines said: “Enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this break-in, or who potentially has CCTV of dashcam footage of the suspects, to get in touch.

“Anyone with any information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting ‘incident 0387 of October 22’ or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
