Stolen Inverness bike sparks police appeal and description

Police are on the hunt for a bike thief who targeted a home in the Westhill area of Inverness.

UPDATE: Police arrest and charge 15-year-old after bike theft

Officers have appealed for witnesses and information following the theft, which occurred sometime between 1pm on March 1 and 9am on March 3.

They have also issued a description in the hopes someone might recognise it in passing, or if someone offers it for sale.

The bike stolen is described as a nickel-coloured Santa Cruz Hightower CS cycle with orange branding.

"The bike has a number of modifications, including a gold-coloured renthal stem, magura MT7 brakes and has a black helfare protector on the rear of the bike frame," said a police spokesperson.

"If anyone has any information in regards to the whereabouts of this bike or who may have it, we urge you to contact police on 101 quoting 'incident number 1109 of March 3'."
