UPDATE: Repairs complete following major water outage on Black Isle, says Scottish Water

Water supplies in several Black Isle communities were returning to normal on Thursday morning after a large interruption to supplies on Wednesday night.

Residents in the likes of Muir of Ord, Avoch, Munlochy and Fortrose were affected by the outage, with engineers working into the early hours of Thursday to complete repairs.

In its most recent update, posted just before 5.30am on Thursday, Scottish Water said: "The repair being carried out affecting supplies in IV6, IV8, IV9 & IV10 [postcodes] is now complete and the network is recovering. Some customers may experience discoloured water as a result."
