City trio head off to USA for training camp

Hoping to pack a punch across the pond, three athletes from Inverness City Boxing Club have been given the opportunity to train at two of the top boxing gyms in the world.

Inverness City Boxing Club athletes Ben Bartlett, Calum Turnbull and Steven Munro will spend the next two weeks training at the Wild Card Boxing Club in Hollywood and Mayweather Boxing Gym in Las Vegas.

The three fighters were approached by Aberdeen boxing coach David McCallister to join some of his fighters on the American training camp, and have received the support of Inverness City Boxing Club head coach Laurie Redfern.
