Dingwall athlete Louise Dytch was the only female rider to complete the Highland Cross under four hours as she claimed the women’s title in her debut in the event.

The 31-year-old finished the course in 3:58:53 to claim the title of Queen of the Cross beating her nearest competitor by more than a minute.

Despite being behind after the 20-mile run she powered her way into the lead in the 30-mile cycle to win the women’s race, beating Ellie Buchan from Aberdeen into second place who finished the course in 4:00:09.
