Forward confirms he has left Inverness Caledonian Thistle

AUSTIN Samuels has confirmed that he has left Inverness Caledonian Thistle after two and a half years at the club.

The 23-year-old forward confirmed on social media on Wednesday afternoon that he has left the Caledonian Stadium.

It comes after Inverness Caledonian Thistle revealed who is currently in their squad for the 2024/25 campaign, with Samuels’ name not on the list.

Samuels joined Inverness Caledonian Thistle in January 2022 after leaving Aberdeen.

On his social media account on X, Samuels confirmed his departure from Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

He wrote: “Two and a half years of many ups and downs but the support I got from the fans was always amazing.

“It’s a shame and frustrates I didn’t get the chance to help the club/team throughout the relegation fight but I hope the club gets back to where it deserves to be. Thank you Caley.”

Meanwhile, Inverness Caledonian Thistle revealed today that they have signed striker Cameron Ferguson on a one-year-deal.The 21-year-old, who is the son of Duncan Ferguson, was released from Newcastle United in January and spent time on loan at Forfar Athletic, as well as agreeing a short term deal with Highland League outfit Forres Mechanics.

It has also been confirmed Inverness have given new deals to Keith Bray, Ethan Cairns, Calum Mackay, Matthew Strachan and Robbie Thompson.
