Aaron Doran says he is determined to keep his place in the first team and help Inverness Caledonian Thistle stay in the hunt for top spot in the Scottish Championship.

The Irish midfielder made the starting 11 in a league match for the first time this season and was outstanding in the 3-0 victory against Dunfermline Athletic.

Doran, who was named as the club’s vice-captain this season wasn’t happy that he was on the bench in the club’s first three league games against Falkirk, Ayr and Alloa.

As a result, he says he was determined to put in a performance which would keep him in John Robertson’s first team plans and he felt at East End Park he did exactly that.
