Primary school kids compete at championships

The top track and field primary school athletes from across the local area took part in the South Highland Primary Schools Athletics Championships.

During a day of fierce competition a number of records fell during a quality day of sporting action at Bught Park.

Among the main winners of the day included the recipients of the Annie Cameron Memorial Trophy for Shot Put where there was double success for Duncan Forbes Primary School in Culloden.

Marvellous Igbinidu won the girls event with a throw of 7.36m while Hugh Gallacher won the boys event with a throw of 6.82m.
