A Fortrose teenager is set to play a key role in developing sport in Scotland over the next two years after being selected to become part of the Young People’s Sports Panel (YPSP).

Inverness Rowing Club athlete Sara Johnston was one of 18 people chosen from 156 applicants to be part of the panel.

Led by sportscotland and supported by Young Scot, YPSP provides a national platform to represent a voice for young people from across Scotland. The panel will look to influence and shape the future of sport in Scotland and raise the profile of sport.

Sara, along with 18 other panel members will have the opportunity over the next two years to have their views heard and valued and the chance to influence decision making and drive change in Scottish sport.
