John Robertson says Inverness Caledonian Thistle got the draw they wanted in the Scottish Cup semi final believing they do have what it takes to win the tournament.

Hearts or Partick Thistle await them in the last four of the tournament after their sensational 2-1 win at Dundee United on Sunday.

With the other semi final seeing Celtic take on either Aberdeen or Rangers, Robertson said it was the best draw Inverness could have hoped for and gives them a great chance of reaching the final.

“Most people will expect Hearts to get through,” he said.

“But Partick showed more than enough that they can still be a threat. They have some good experienced players.

“While Hearts will be overwhelming favourites I wouldn’t rule out Partick just yet."
