People from across the region attended The Inverness Courier A9 Crisis Summit, yesterday.

Mairi McAllan was applauded for her stance as she admits 'as I said in my opening remarks, I hate junctions.'

The MSP added ‘I can only say that my shame is that we haven't made more progress.’

The cabinet secretary has vowed to 'to work on contract terms' to make it more favourable for future procurements on the dualling of the A9.

She adds that 'anyone who doesn’t feel safe when driving the route – I am with you on that.'

At the Inverness Courier A9 Crisis Summit he said without progress then 'frankly, I don’t think we deserve to continue to be in government.'

The Inverness-Perth stretch is in the spotlight ahead of today's A9 Crisis Summit.
