AFTER its trial run last year, VIP area – the Hielan Coo Club – is back at Belladrum, providing somewhere to escape the hurly burly of festival life and relax in comfort with a cocktail or two.

In association Highland property experts HSPC, Hielan Coo Club is located in a secluded section of the festival’s Woodland Dell where existing ticket holders to the sold out festival who have upgraded – at the same price as 2016 via the ticket page on the festival’s website – can chill out.

Featuring a soft, laid-back music programme during the day, HCC ramps it up on Friday and Saturday evenings with its Guilty Pleasures Headphone Disco until 2am (refundable deposit for headphones required).

And the comfortably furnished stretch tent has a well-stocked cocktail bar.

Free to patrons in the HCC area are: morning papers; a Turkish steam room (with changing area, rinsing shower (no soap or shampoo allowed) and towels); mini shoulder massage treatments; mobile phone charging (iPhone, Android and iPads are also OK, but bring your own charger if it’s non-standard!); and posh ladies and gents loos.

Paid-for elements include: drinks; photo booth, Ullapool seafood from the newly-launched Seafood Shack (including fresh oysters, mussels in a Thai broth, bite-sized monkfish wrapped in bacon with fresh salad, salt and pepper squid with garlic mayo and much more); Haggisman’s Scottish food served from a funky retro van (including haggis, neeps & tatties, vegan haggis, venison burgers, pies for all diets, toasties and more!); and proper barista-made coffee by The Coffee Trike who serve their ethically-sourced espresso coffee from a unique vintage-styled tricycle.

Opening times will be noon to 11pm Thursday; 9am to 2am Friday and Saturday.

Tickets for the HCC are on sale now from www.tartanheartfestival.co.uk/tickets priced at £45 for Adults and £25 for children (U12s).
