A successful Highland business is celebrating a milestone anniversary.

Norscot, which supplies windows, doors and timber frame kit homes, is marking 30 years of its current Inverness showroom.

The firm, which was founded in 1984 as Fairmitre (Highland) before rebranding as Norscot Joinery in 1987, opened its first Inverness showroom in Canal Road in 1992.

But three years later it moved into a purpose-built premises on the Carse Industrial Estate, later doubling its space in 2004 to better serve its growing customer base across the Highlands

It has also fostered strong connections with local communities through a range of annual initiatives. Its local involvement includes sponsoring the Race to Inverness competition at Inverness Golf Club and maintaining a pitch-side advertising board at Clachnacuddin Football Club -which not only enhances the club’s progress on and off the field but also supports a youth program benefiting more than 170 children.

Other supported organisations have included Muir of Ord Golf Club and Team Love Cheer. Its commitment also extends to Highland-based charities - from mental health initiatives like Million Steps for Mikeysline and Move for Movember to partnering with Maggie’s Highlands, its Charity of the Year, through events such as the Paws for a Cause Walking Challenge, Christmas Jumper Day, and the hugely successful Jail or Bail fundraising challenge. It has also supported mental health charity Birchwood Highland.

Reflecting on its 30th anniversary milestone, Inverness branch manager Iain Polworth remarked: "I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve built over the past 30 years here in Inverness. Every step of our journey has been driven by a commitment to quality and our local community.

“Our longstanding partnerships—from sponsoring local sports teams to supporting vital charities—are at the heart of our success. As we celebrate this milestone, I’m excited to continue our development, ensuring that Norscot remains a trusted supplier for the people of Inverness and beyond for many years to come."
