MORE than 50 Inverness bus services will not run today due to ongoing staffing shortages, Stagecoach has confirmed.

In posts to social media earlier this morning, they confirmed that 53 separate journeys will not run as timetabled.

The cancellations mean that almost 100 journeys have now been cancelled in the city in the space of just two days, after 40 were suspended due to staff shortages and illness on Thursday.

The most routes affected are the number 1 and the number 2 service. These run between Dalneigh, the city centre and Balloch; and between Craig Dunaian, the city centre and Woodside Village respectively. Journeys affected include a mix of services heading either direction.

Route number 3 also features four cancellations this morning on various journeys between Craig Dunain, Oakdene and Academy Street.
