Part of an Inverness road has been closed after a lorry reportedly hit a railway bridge.

Police have just posted online that they received a report around 4.25pm of a lorry striking the railway bridge in Shore Street, Inverness.

They say there are no reports of any injuries but the A82 south towards the A9 is closed between Shore Street roundabout and the Rose Street roundabout.

Drivers are asked to avoid the area.

There are currently no reports of whether or not rail services have been disrupted.
