Inverness billboard site near Clachnacuddin FC’s Grant Street Park up for auction at bids over £14,000
Two large advertising billboards in Inverness are up for auction – with bids opening at £14,000.
The sale includes a small triangular plot of vacant freehold land – 0.06 acres (0.03 hectares) – at Lower Kessock Street in Merkinch, close to Highland League club Clach’s Grant Street Park.
The hoardings, described as being a prime advertising site in a “a highly sought-after residential area”, are understood to have gone unused for some time.
Selling agents Future Property Auctions say the site has potential for development into flats, subject to planning permission.
The agents’ promotional info says: “It is a busy route within the centre of Inverness. Lower Kessock Street is situated just half a mile from Inverness city centre, a great location close to the harbour area.
“There is potential for flatted development. No VAT is payable on purchase price. It is a seldom available auction lot sold on a freehold sale basis, giving full site ownership.
“It is an excellent site and prominent spot for advertising, bordering a football ground car park and busy road.”
Bidding will begin in an online auction on Thursday, May 29, from 10 am until 3 pm.
