Bradley Barlow, spokesperson for SGN said: "We’ll be connecting a property in Academy Street, Inverness to our gas network. For everyone’s safety, we’ll need to temporarily close one lane of Academy Street close to the property as well as part of the footpath.

"In consultation with Highland Council, our works permit allows us to carry out our project for ten days. However, we are hopeful we can complete the connection and resurface the road in a shorter timeframe."
