Chef's return means that city restaurant can reopen
Highlanders might not be able to get away on holiday, but they will be able to enjoy a taste of the Mediterranean with the reopening of Nar Restaurant in Inverness.
The Bridge Street eatery has welcomed back the public after a prolonged temporary closure dating back to March 23.
Unfortunately the restaurant, which has a coveted five-star rating on Tripadvisor, was unable to take advantage of the easing of restrictions in the summer as chef Mustafa Soaerr, the man responsible for its authentic Turkish menu, was stranded in Cyprus by coronavirus travel restrictions.
His return to the UK means that the restaurant with its staff of seven is back in business.
Restaurant owner Shabro Ali, who also owns the nearby Shapla, said: “We are delighted to be open again and regular customers have said they are delighted to see us back.”
