Two Nairnshire antiques shops were featured on the popular BBC Antiques Road Trip where experts tour the country for collectables before putting them to auction
Rowena MacWilliam and her partner Lyle Weston opened the MacMuddle Shop in the former PO in Back Road, Cawdor two years ago.
The Antiques Road Trip team also visited Roger Milton's long established Auldearn Antiques at the former Dalmore Church.
Auctioneer and presenter Izzy Balmer selected an arto dec card dispenser and salt cellar from Rowena's collection.
A Georgian silver salver also took the eye but it was beyond the budget of £200 the presenters are given to spend.
"It was good fun filming for the show," said Rowena. "There was film crew of four and Izzy had a good rummage around before selecting her items. She made a fiver profit off the salt cellar at auction but a loss on the card dispenser.
"She was lovely to talk to and is obviously very well informed on collectables and antiques.
"They also visited other antiques outlets in the show in Inverness, Bunchrew and Dingwall for the edition and it was screened on Friday, January 14 and can be seen on BBC I-Player."
The show, which pits two experts against each other travelling the country, also captures local places of interest and history on their tours.
"It's a bit of a fun thing and gives viewers an insight into antiques and some lovely parts of the country," said Rowena.
"Since we opened the shop of course we have had Covid to contend with. We've lived in the area for ten years and were dealing on line and decided to make a go of it when the shop became available. We get a lot of support locally and enjoy it."
