Police appeal for witnesses

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a 16-year-old girl was attacked by a man in an area between Whin Park and the Bught Park rugby pitches in Inverness.

The incident happened some time between 7pm and 8pm on Saturday.

The male is described as being in his mid to late 30s with dark skin, of medium build, with short wavy black hair. He was wearing a white T-shirt, dark jeans and black trainers.

Northern Constabulary is appealing for information from members of the public, which could lead to the identify of this man and are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the assault.
