The police were informed and when officers traced her to her home nearby, they routinely asked Gall for a breath sample to check for alcohol.

Fiscal depute Grant McLennan told Sheriff Ian Cruickshank: "She refused the test saying: 'I don't believe I need to. I have not had a drink.'"

Gall admitted careless driving and refusing a breath test.

Sheriff Cruickshank fined her a total of £1375 and endorsed her licence with four penalty points.
