An insight into the Jacobite uprising using eyewitness testimony will be among the events to mark the anniversary of the Battle of Culloden later this month.

The battle’s 279th anniversary will be commemorated on Saturday April 19.

High-tech research reveals new evidence on how troops deployed at the Battle of Culloden

Speakers will include historians Dr Darren Scott Layne and Dr Arran Paul Johnston.

The event at at the battlefield visitor centre takes place from 1.30pm to 2.45pm.

Tickets cost £10 and include both speaker talks.
