Black Lace and Bad Manners get the crowd going at MacMoray
MacMORAY has delivered on day two with another great crowd enjoying top class performances.
Blacklace opened the day and they got the crowd in party mood with their set, which included the classic Agadoo, which reached number two in the charts in 1984, with only George Michael’s ‘Careless Whisper’ keeping them off top spot.
They also performed hits like Do the Conga and Music Man. The former got most of the crowd performing a conga round the park.
One half of the duo, Craig Harper, said: ““The Scotland crowds are always the best, no matter where you go.
“They gave us 100 per cent, so we are going to give them 100 percent.
“We looked on the map and we went ‘where?’’What a beautiful part of Scotland and it is very reminiscent of the north Yorkshire moors, so we feel at home.
“The crowd were well up for. We want to say a massive thank to all the people of Elgin and Moray for coming out at 12.30pm on a Sunday.
Bad Manners really got the crowd going in the afternoon with lead singer Buster Bloodvessel leading the crowd through some of their classic tunes.
Scouting for Girls will bring the festival to a close on Sunday night.
Marie Cooke, her daughter Emmy (10), from Lossiemouth, Marie’s cousin Sarah Frost-King and her aunt Kate Frost, from Dunfermline and Auchtermuchty, were enjoying the family festival with other family members.
“It’s just been absolutely brilliant,” said Marie.
“Cousin Sarah, at the age of 27, is enjoying her first festival.”
Marie added: “It feels really good and there is a great vibe.”
