Body found in Elgin burn near A96 in Moray

A man's body has been found in the Tyock Burn near the A96 in Elgin.

Police have confirmed they received a report of a body beside a road bridge on East Road near Harry Gow's and the Stagecoach Depot, at around 3.05pm yesterday.

Emergency services, including police, fire and ambulance crews were sent to the scene.

As a result of the incident, the A96 was closed between Tyock Industrial Estate and Ashgrove Road for a period while investigations were carried out.
