Booze Cruise returns to Loch Ness for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee weekend
The Loch Ness by Jacobite Booze Cruise is making a comeback for one night only to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
After 20 years, the famous Booze Cruise hosted by Loch Ness by Jacobite will be held again on Saturday, June 4th.
The three-hour cruise will set off from Tomnahurich Bridge at 7pm and take in all the famous sights of Loch Ness from the Caledonian Canal to Urquhart Castle.
Freda Newton, managing director of Loch Ness by Jacobite said: “We’re so excited to bring back the Booze Cruise!
"Many people still tell me about the fun times they had on our evening charters so what better to bring it back than during a weekend when we’ll all be celebrating and enjoying a long weekend.”
“Our own Queen – the Jacobite Queen – will be our host for the evening and entertainment will be provided by DJs Simon and Scott.
"We really want everyone to have a fantastic evening so would encourage everyone to enjoy responsibly. We can’t wait to welcome booze cruisers old and new onboard!”
Until 2002, Loch Ness by Jacobite operated an evening charter which became known as the Booze Cruise.
Julie Douglas from Inverness who remembers the Booze Cruise fondly, said: “The Booze Cruise was such a great night out back in the day!
"I spent many an enjoyable evening being tourist on my own doorstep and enjoying the beautiful scenery while letting my hair down with friends. I’m so excited it’s back!”
Tickets for the Booze Cruise cost £40, which includes the three-hour cruise, a welcome drink and entertainment from DJs Simon and Scott.
