His parents posted a message online this morning sharing the sad news.

The four-year-old inspired the massive Leo's Pride fundraising campaign on behalf of Muscular Dystrophy UK.

The message on the group's Facebook page reads: "There is nothing that we can say that will do our precious boy justice.

"He was our entire world and touched the heart of everyone who had the privilege of meeting him. We were extremely privileged to be his parents."

Dozens of people have already responded to offer their condolences.

More to follow.
