Cafe Ness by the Cathedral in Inverness has shut its doors for the winter as it transitions into seasonal hours of business.

Café Ness is a small social enterprise business, located in the grounds of the cathedral run by Helen and Ruben along with a small team of staff and volunteers.

However, this morning the cafe announced it would be closed from today and that they ‘apologise to those who will be disappointed’ by the news.

A spokesperson from the cafe said: “We have taken the decision to close this winter, returning to the seasonal pattern we operated under in previous years. Winter is always a quieter period for the cafe.

“The cathedral itself will remain open as always to visitors, for private prayer, and for worship. While the cafe is closed this winter we are taking the opportunity to look at how we develop Cafe Ness for the 2025 season when we reopen in the spring.”
