Inverness pharmacy in Lochardil damaged by car crash lays on emergency customer arrangements as Police Scotland continue to investigate incident that hospitalised a women in her 60s
An Inverness chemist store damaged by a car crashing through its front entrance has laid on special arrangements for customers.
Staff and patients at Lochardil Pharmacy and Travel Centre at Morven Place were fortunate to escape injury yesterday when the black Nissan smashed into the building.
A statement from management spoke of their relief that there had been no casualties resulting from the crash.

The business is vowing to serve the public as best it can under “challenging circumstances”.
A woman in her 60s was taken to Raigmore Hospital “as a precaution” and police continue to investigate the incident which happened at around 2.20 pm. Her condition is unknown.
Management at the pharmacy have briefed regular customers and patients on social media, warning that the store will remain closed today.
But other services including deliveries, a prescription-only service on-site and a 24/7 collection point will remain in operation.
A statement read: “We want to inform our valued customers and patients that an incident occurred at our pharmacy which required us to close unexpectedly.
“We are relieved to confirm that all staff members are safe and unharmed.
“As we work to resolve the matter, we plan to reopen tomorrow with a reduced pharmacy service.
“We will continue to operate during our normal working hours, providing a prescription-only service from the door located to the rear of the pharmacy. This will facilitate the continued supply of prescriptions
“There will be no access into the pharmacy premises at this point.”

The statement added: “Our delivery drivers will continue their normal service.
“Our sister pharmacy at Riverside is also available should you need to consult with a pharmacist, or other local pharmacies as needed.
“Any pre-booked appointments will continue as arranged unless you are contacted by a member of the team.
“We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time and will provide updates as necessary.”
