Loch Ness engineer crowned regional winner in national heating installer awards for second time
Ian Williamson from Drumnadrochit has taken the top prize for the Scotland in this year’s national Heating Installer Awards, after coming out top against a highly competitive year of brilliant entries across the region.
Mr Williamson is a prominent installer in the Inverness area with his company Dynamic Energy and provides a range of services including installation, service, breakdown and repair. While he works in gas and oil, he also specialises in air source heat pumps and solar thermal installs.
He will now go through to the UK final after impressing the judges with his professionalism, commitment to taking on challenges and dedication to customer satisfaction.
He said: “It was great news to receive that I’ve been selected as the regional winner for Scotland for a second time. I appreciate my work been recognised especially in such a competitive year of entries.
"Congratulations to all the other regional winners and I’m excited for the next stages!”
The awards scheme, now in its seventh year, recognises the achievements and raises the credibility of plumbers and heating installers across the country who deliver excellent customer service on a daily basis. Representatives from the awards’ partners, Armacell, CIPHE, Danfoss, LG, Stelrad and Polypipe Building Products as well as media partner Installer magazine, judged the entries on problem solving, product knowledge and stand out work.
Readers can help Mr Williamson bring the 2022 Heating Installer Awards national title back to the Highlands by visiting the Heating Installer Awards website and casting your vote.
Voting closes on May 23 and public votes will contribute to a third of the overall score, alongside the judges’ scores and the scores from a technical challenge set for all of the regional and highly commended winners.
The winner will be announced on June 22 at Installer2022, the UK’s national plumbing and heating show.
