Graham Griffith, managing director of Cawdor Castle Ltd, said: “We are overwhelmed with the turnout for our first-ever Christmas Market at Cawdor Castle. Supporting over 30 local businesses, who had a fantastic weekend in the run-up to Christmas, meant a huge amount after such a challenging couple of years.

“Children loved the scavenger hunt through the garden, which led to our new woodland play park, and this activity helped support our chosen charity CHAS (Children’s Hospices Across Scotland) in raising over £1000 across the week. Cawdor Community Council also had a fantastic day on Saturday raising funds for the local community.”

Mr Griffith added: “There was a wonderful atmosphere across the weekend, including Inverness Youth Pipe Band who performed in front of the castle, and Highland Voices who spread Christmas cheer in our entertainment tent.”
