Charity festive outing set for a new home
A CHANGE of venue will not mean a dip in quality or a downturn in its fundraising muscle, those behind a musical festive favourite have insisted.
Over the past 40 years the Highland Hospitals’ Carol Concert has been a main seasonal fixture at Eden Court in Inverness.
However this a year a clash of bookings will see it shift to the city’s Macdonald Drumossie Hotel for an outing on Sunday, December 2.
Concert committee chairman David Dean said: "Yet again, our choir of some 70 singers are poised to entertain a loyal audience and, with them, create a memorable afternoon’s Christmas singing.
"We much hope the change of venue to Macdonald Drumossie Hotel, with its free car parking and near guaranteed access whatever the weather will, once again, draw a substantial audience whose presence will raise a usual handsome sum of money to be donated to CLIC Sargent."
The concert starts at 3pm on the day and tickets priced £14 each are available from The Music Shop, Church Street, Inverness on 01463 233374.
Pre concert lunch will also be available at the hotel with tables bookable by calling 0344 879 9017.
