Check online to see if Highland Council's bin collections affected by snow

Residents are reminded that they can check online to see if their Highland Council bin collections are affected by adverse weather.

Updates to service recycling disruptions are posted on the Council’s social media accounts:

A council spokeswoman said: "The council makes every effort to maintain bin collection services throughout periods of adverse weather, but sometimes it’s not possible.

"If we’ve missed any of your bins, leave them out at your normal collection point and we’ll get to them as soon as possible.

"Please keep your bin lid and the area around your bin clear of snow to ensure easy access for the crews.

"Where possible use Household Waste Recycling Centres and recycling points to recycle as much of your waste as possible."
