The Calman Trust, which works with disadvantaged children and young people, has been awarded £123,946 to support its work in the city.

The funding will enable the trust to deliver a programme of support to young people who are not in employment, education or training, helping to develop skills such as cooking, independent travel and digital skills.

Maggie Fraser, head of learning and development at the Calman Trust said: “We’re delighted that BBC Children in Need have awarded us with new funding which will enable us to deliver our support programme for the next three years.”

Florence Burke, national head of Scotland at BBC Children in Need said: “We are delighted to fund the work of the Calman Trust Ltd and look forward to seeing the difference that this grant will make to children and young people across the city.”
