Christmas comes early for parents as baby is born in Inverness hospital in early hours of Christmas Day

Christmas truly came early for a couple who saw their son born in the early hours of Christmas morning one month sooner than expected.

Lucas Dariusz Przeworski, who was due to arrive on January 22, was born in the early hours of Christmas day at 1.19am.

Parents Lisa Mackay and Bartlomiej Przeworski welcomed their son to the world who weighed in at 6lb 02oz.

Lisa said: "He is the best Christmas gift we could ever wish for."
