An Inverness branch of Tesco has donated toys to the city's children's ward to help patients during the coronavirus pandemic.

A Facebook post by the Inverness Extra store, which is based in Eastfield Way, said: "Today Tesco Extra Inverness, in conjunction with the Bank of Scotland and the The Archie Foundation, donated a bunch of toys to Raigmore Hospital's children’s ward to help with the toy shortage they’ve experienced due to Covid-19. We hope this brings a smile to all their faces."

The Archie Foundation Highland said: "Thank you so much to Bank of Scotland and Tesco Extra Inverness for working together and providing the Highland Children's Unit with a fantastic donation of toys.

"We are so grateful for the continued support of not only Tesco and Bank of Scotland, but the local community who have been so kind at this time."
