Inverness Town House becomes a concert venue this evening.

VIOLIN sonatas by Beethoven and Prokofiev form the basis for a concert at the town house tonight.

Slovenian violinist Lana Trotovšek will make her fifth visit to the Highland capital for the concert, this time accompanied by Catalan pianist Maria Canyigueral.

In 2016 Lana and Maria collaborated on a recording of violin sonatas by Franck and Granados, coupled with Finzi’s Elegy and the Intermezzo Romantique by the Slovenian composer Škerjanc. The recording earned Lana and Maria the Gold Medal in the California-based Global Music Awards in November that year.

Tonight’s concert starts at 7.30pm.

Tickets can be booked in advance by emailing jamesdmunro@btinternet.com.

Any unsold tickets will be available at the door from 7pm.
