Close encounters with snakes and lizards are among the free activities available for youngsters in Inverness during the half-term holidays.

The Eastgate Shopping Centre’s Nevis Club is running a two-day programme also featuring fun fitness sessions on a first-come, first-served basis.

The activities, designed to entertain and inspire young minds, begin on Tuesday February 18 with Wild Animal Encounters.

Scottish Exotic Animal Rescue will introduce children to fascinating creatures including snakes and lizards in an interactive and educational experience between 10am and 4pm.

Fitness Is Fun takes over on Wednesday February 19 from 11am to 3pm.

FitKidz sessions will encourage youngsters to get moving through yoga, smoothie bike challenges and fun physical activities designed to promote health and wellbeing.

The centre’s Nevis Club for youngsters also hosts Science Sundays on the last Sunday of every month for curious young minds!

Designed for children of all ages, the workshops combine science, creativity, and hands-on exploration to inspire a love for discovery.

The next session takes place on Sunday February 23 at 11am at the community stage.
