A city-centre charity shop which has remained closed for several weeks, is set to re-open on reduced hours from March 24.

The Oxfam shop on Lombard Street has been temporarily closed while a new shop team is recruited. The store will be re-opening on Fridays and Saturdays only from 10am – 4.30pm until a new store manager is appointed.

An Oxfam spokesperson said: “The money raised by our Inverness shop helps fight poverty and injustice around the world; providing people with lifesaving essentials like clean water and soap as well as the hope of a better future. We’re looking forward to welcoming people back into the store very soon.”

Oxfam is encouraging members of the public who’d like to apply for the role of shop manager, or those who’d like to volunteer, to visit the Oxfam website.
