Closing dates confirmed for sale of two Inverness churches
Closing dates have been revealed for the sales of two churches in Inverness.
East Church and Old High Church in Inverness were put up for sale earlier this year as part of the Church of Scotland's national drive to cut costs.
The closing date for the sale of East Church has been confirmed as Wednesday October 18, 2023 at 12pm.
East Church on Academy street, a substantial B-listed building that is almost 200 years old, went on the market for offers over £230,000.
Its congregation now worships with Inshes Church.
In October, a crowdfunding campaign was launched in a bid to buy the city's East Church for conversion to a Gaelic culture centre.

Also on the market currently is Old High Church on Church Street in Inverness.
The final date for bids on Old High Church has been confirmed as 12pm on Monday, November 13, 2023.
The A-listed church, which occupies a prominent position overlooking the River Ness, was put on the market at £150,000 after the Church of Scotland said it was no longer financially viable to run.
Friends of the Old High, a group fighting to save the city church from potential commercial sale, has been trying to raise funds to buy the historic building – but progress has stalled.
Campaigners believe the building has potential as a hub for multi-cultural entertainment, educational, social and tourism activity.
