Inverness Business Improvement District (BID) announces new member joining board of directors
The Business Improvement District (BID) has announced a new member joining its board of directors.
Donald Matheson, co-director and co-owner (with his brother, Neil) of D Matheson & Son Plumbing and Heating, has joined Inverness BID.
Founded in 1895, D Matheson & Son Plumbing and Heating has been a key fixture in Inverness for generations, offering high-quality plumbing and heating services to both residential and commercial clients.
The company continues to be a trusted name, renowned for its skilled tradespeople and commitment to customer satisfaction.
Gordon McIntosh, of Munro & Noble Solicitors and Estate Agents, and BID Chair said: “We are delighted to welcome Donald to the BID Board.
“As a director of a well-established and respected local business, Donald’s experience will be invaluable as we continue to deliver our fourth-term business plan and advocate for the best interests of our city centre stakeholders.
Donald, who is “really passionate about the city centre”, attended a couple of BID board meetings, which gave him insight into the depth and breadth of issues BID is involved with behind the scenes.
He said: “As a city centre business and BID member, I’ve greatly appreciated being able to contact the BID team whenever needed.
“I’ve used their fast responder service on several occasions with excellent outcomes.
“The dedication of the BID team and board of directors is commendable, and I look forward to working alongside them and hopefully being of service to fellow city centre businesses.”
The BID Board currently comprises 15 directors.
More information, including the BID Business Plan, is available here.
City centre businesses are encouraged to also get involved.
The next BID member meetings are on Monday, March 31, from 10am until noon at the Spectrum Centre, and on Thursday, April 10, from 5.30pm until 7 at the Victorian Market Food Hall.
