An Inverness-based choir is set to return for a new performance in aid of a local charity for children with additional support needs.

For their summer concert on May 17, the 70-singers-strong Christian choir Acclaim will perform at Free North Church for a fundraising concert to help Special Needs Action Project.

Choir leader Elaine Kirkham said they are looking forward to the event and to helping such a worthy cause.

She said: “The choir, supported by musicians from Inverness and from Glasgow, will sing a variety of contemporary Christian songs and there will be an opportunity for the audience to sing with the choir too, which is always thrilling.

“Two soloists — John Alexander Wilson and Olivia Fraser will also sing during the evening.

“Following a recent presentation by SNAP staff, we were so impressed by the work that's done by staff and volunteers, that we felt we wanted to support this excellent local charity.”

Entry will be free of charge but donations to SNAP are encouraged throughout the evening.

More information about the charity will also be provided during the concert.

Tickets are available from choir members, from The Haven office, or by emailing acclaimchoir@yahoo.com.
