An Inverness community group has launched an online fundraiser to help with running costs during the Covid-19 outbreak.

Hill/Crown Covid 19 Community Support Group posted on its Facebook page to let local residents know the appeal had been launched.

The post read: "We have launched a Crowdfunder campaign to try and raise a little bit of money for the community group.

"Any money raised will go directly into paying for running costs – such as flyers and the telephone line – or the community itself to help pay for groceries and meter top-ups for those who are financially struggling at this uncertain time.

"Please give whatever you can afford so we can rally around our local community members and keep everyone connected – any left over funds will be donated to a local charity."
